About

Dan is a graduate student in philosophy at Virginia Tech, where he does research on the relationship between science and religion as well as some aspects of the history of atheism. He is also working on a Graduate Certificate in Religious Studies. In addition, Dan is on the Executive Board of Freethinkers at Virginia Tech and he earned his undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Rochester in 2009.

Advice for new AAFHSS members?
Educate yourself. Read widely and often. Don’t accept something as true or likely just because your favourite atheist said it. And read more than just atheist lit; read widely in science, philosophy, and even theology.
